This new set of DVDs is undoubtably an improvement on the original Season 1 boxset. It includes all the episodes, in digitally remastered form, as well as a host of new speicial features unseen the original DVD. The new deleted scenes are really good, and I enjoy seeing scenes from the show's roots that we never got to see before. The commentaries are also interesting in providing an insight into what the actors and crew were thinking when the show was being made. The new featuree The Genesis of 24 shows where the show came from, and I was already a big fan of The Rookie but seeing it in proper quality on a big screen is great! One final cool thing about the box is the timer that is on the front; a switch on the inside allows it to count down from 24:00 to 00:00! The only negative I know of is that the tin box dints easily, but as long as you keep it safe it should be OK.
